Pannar P3 Wheat Trial at Lichtenburg

Pannar offers a complete wheat cultivar package of spring type cultivars for production under irrigation. Johann Botes, Pannar's representative in Lichtenburg, planted a P3 wheat trial at SJ Strydom’s farm.

The trial was planted on 16 June 2021. The Pannar cultivars were planted at 83 kg/ha seed and the row width was 0.152m. The trial was harvested on the 20th November. In the trial, Johann used PAN 3541 as a control, which produced a decent 8.22 t/ha on average. PAN 3644 delivered an average of 8.83 t/ha, PAN 3400 7.71 t/ha and PAN 3497 7.32 t/ha.

Pannar's current spring type wheat cultivar package consists of PAN 3497 (late), PAN 3541 (medium), PAN 3644 (medium-early) and PAN 3400 (early).
