Weston Agricultural College visits Peter and Shaun Griffin near Mooi River

Recently, the Griffin family, together with Pannar, had the pleasure of sharing maize cultivation insights with some of Weston Agricultural College’s matric learners. It was a privilege to host this focused and well-mannered group. Weston, a very well-known agricultural school in the KwaZulu-Natal midlands, has given many farmers their foundation for success.

Bruce Paterson, Agronomist and Gavin Thomson, Sales Representative, planted a maize silage trial on Peter and Shaun’s farm near Mooi River. Peter and Shaun gave the students an overview of their practices that ensure success, while Bruce and Petrus van Rooyen, Pannar’s Area Manager, provided an overview of these maize hybrids.

Sessions like these highlight the quality of South Africa’s farmers as producers, managers and businessmen. Peter and Shaun know their business, and we enjoyed learning from them.
