It has an indeterminate growth habit, excellent standability and produces large beans. The good bean quality characteristics and excellent cooking characteristics make this red speckled bean cultivar the consumers’ first choice.

It is usually ready for harvest roughly 7 – 10 days sooner than other cultivars, with the advantage of being able to deliver good quality beans to the market faster. PAN 9216 produces unique red flowers that make it recognisable anywhere in the world. It has excellent general disease tolerance to Rust, Angular Leaf Spot, root rots and BCMV.
