Last week, GDARD partnered with Pannar and Corteva Agriscience for a strategic engagement session to drive agricultural excellence in Gauteng.
The visit offered an in-depth look at the whole seed production process – from safety orientations and plant tours to seed development, conditioning, treatment, research, testing and packaging. At the heart of this collaboration is a shared goal: to walk alongside farmers, from planting through to harvest, close knowledge gaps and foster long-term partnerships that support sustainable food systems for generations to come. As MEC Vuyiswa Ramokgopa emphasized: “We don’t need to do everything — but we must invest in meaningful partnerships, refine operating models, and rethink our support if we are to truly shift the needle for smallholders and Gauteng’s agriculture sector.”
Thank you to GDARD for taking the time to join us – we value the opportunity to work together for the future of our farmers.
