Pannar maize hybrids shine in Koppies

The year kicked off on a high note in Koppies, with Pannar yellow-and-white maize hybrids holding their own and showing promising growth. The two videos – one of PAN 3P-973PW white maize hybrids and the other of PAN 4R-838BR yellow maize hybrids – were shared with us by Pannar’s expert representative for the Parys and Sasolburg area, Nelia Louw.

PAN 3P-973PW white maize

This hybrid platform features a distinctive ultra early growth type with upright leaf architecture and strong standability. It is well adapted to irrigation and high-potential dryland regions, performing well across various planting densities. At lower plant populations, it tends to be multi-eared and delivers a high grain-to-leaf and stalk ratio. It is also suitable for high plant populations, with good disease tolerance and excellent grain quality. 

PAN 3P-973PW, equipped with PowerCore® technology, provides protection against various above-ground lepidopteran pests and is stacked with glyphosate herbicide-tolerant technology for excellent insect and weed control.

PAN 4R-538R yellow maize

The PAN 4R-538R platform replaces PAN 4R-838BR (they share the same genetic background). The platform performs well under a wide range of plant populations and yield potentials. Strong emergence and seedling vigour give these hybrids an early advantage. In environments where Common Rust is prevalent, a preventative fungicide spray is advised for this otherwise well-balanced platform.
