Father Henri Griesel and his son AJ planting a P3 maize trial between Orania and Hopetown14 December 2022

AJ Griesel is already showing his interest in agriculture at this young age. Here, AJ and his father Henri, are busy planting a P3 maize trial at Potlachi Boerdery on the farm Sanddraai situated between Orania and Hopetown. These beautiful photos speak for themselves – it's great when a father and son share such an experience. Henri is Pannar’s agent in the region.

The farm was named after Francois Verster’s Sotho name “Potlachi” which means “hurry up”. Francois Verster was previously part of Joubert and Verster Boerdery. Now Jacques and Ryno Verster, Francois's sons, have taken over the reins. Klaas van Wyk, Pannar's agronomist says their planter is of a high technological calibre and Ryno knows exactly how it works and uses it to their advantage.
